An intricate Victorian ironwork picture-frame is the starting point for Jane Wildgoose’s pursuit of her great-grandfather, its maker. Presenting work in progress, she discovers the firm her ancestor worked for on Wych Street, and reflects on the role of his handiwork in the lives of herself and her father.
